I made it home yesterday. I finished up with a breakout session on 'how to fail at social media' then went to the main session. The music was great, and God was speaking. Unfortunatly, the speaker wasn't very good. It's not that his style or delivery was bad, it was his message. He talked about advocating your message with social momentum. That's doesn't sound bad...he just tried to church it up and make it some sort of spiritual concept and stretched the parable of the sower to try to make it fit. I might be a littler harsh here so let me say this, I think being aware of what's going on around us is an excellent idea. I think using social currents to engage a message is great, I just think he should have said that and stopped there.
Anyway, I rode the DART back to the airport. I was pretty easy and cheap. I spent 20 bucks for the super shuttle from the airport to the hotel but I spent 3 bucks on the buses and train back to the airport. The shuttle took way too long cause we had to wait for others to show up. I had to miss the first breakout session because of it. Well, now I know.
Finally, I lost all my notes that I had in my little notebook. Man I hated that, but I am going to contact all the speakers and get them to send me there presentations. I had a great time, learned a lot and have a lot to think about as to how this information will inform what we do at WE.
